Growing up in Wyoming, I experienced firsthand many career and educational opportunities to be successful, including working on political campaigns and serving as a high school intern in the Wyoming State Legislature.
After graduating from Black Hills State University I was able to return to Sheridan and work for the Sheridan Recreation District for nearly 8 years. A career opportunity to work for the State of Wyoming brought me to Cheyenne and has allowed me the privilege to become a part of this wonderful community.
Those experiences along with the desire to represent the interests of the constituents of House District 11 inspired me to pursue public office. I aim to ensure those same experiences and quality of life are available for this and future generations.
Addressing property tax relief for House District 11 is a top priority. Building on the progress made in the recent budget session, I will continue the work pursuing meaningful property tax relief.
House District 11 is home to Cheyenne’s vibrant downtown, with thriving local businesses which foster our vibrant community hosting events year-round. Economic development is essential for the continued prosperity of Cheyenne's downtown. We need to remove regulatory barriers so businesses big and small can thrive here at home and across the state.
Wyoming is home to one of the finest K-12 education systems in the United States. It is imperative that education standards continue to rise, and that we provide our youth with the best possible opportunities.
Energy industries in Wyoming have long supported the state with good jobs and a bolstered economy. Ensuring those companies don’t face overly burdensome regulation and are championed by our state during this time of federal overreach needs to be a focus of our State Legislature.
Wyoming has a long and proud tradition in agriculture. We need to make sure that industry is sustained and that producers don’t face economic barriers to the market. Federal and state policy should not infringe on ranchers and farmers ability to make a living.
Home to the most beautiful National and State Parks in the United States Wyoming needs to leverage tourism to make an economic impact. Visitors come to our state not just for the wonderful outdoor opportunities, but also for outstanding events such as Cheyenne Frontier Days. Supporting that industry can bolster our state economy and ensure we can take care of those resources for generations to come.
